Grotta Palazzese | Polignano A Mare, Italy

This timeless destination has been used for parties and banquets since the 1700’s. The Grotta Palazzese, a restaurant with a terrace created inside a natural cave is magical.

The waves of the Adriatic crashing below, the wind slightly gusting about, and a saxophone player serenading us throughout the night make the entire dining experience here truly surreal.

You can choose either a 3 course menu for 180 euros or up to 4 courses for 220 euros. Anthony and I both picked the 3 courses. He picked a salad, the cavtelli, and a vegetable platter; I had the cavatelli, turbo, and chocolate souffle. We ordered a bottle of local Primitovo for 50 euros. The dinner was good but the entire experience was superb!
